Katya Lopatko is a writer, editor, teacher, student and traveler.

She’s been thinking and writing about all things travel for more than 7 years, first as an International Relations undergrad, then as a journalist and English teacher in France, and now as a Comparative Literature graduate student and professional copywriter and blogger based in Santa Barbara.

She’s excited to help make The Floq a platform that’s equal parts thoughtful and fun, a space to learn about the world, share ideas on all things travel, and connect with new people. When she’s not staring at her laptop or watching reality TV with her housemates, she loves going on walks, trying not to die in hot yoga, experimenting with the best ways to make pour-over coffee, and giving her cat copious forehead kisses.
